It’s my pleasure! I love sharing this lifestyle with others. I saw some videos on YouTube about the raw vegan lifestyle and it really resonated with me. I instantly knew this was something I wanted to do!
We saw a picture of your amazing transformation! Could you please share the guidelines of what you eat? I know you follow a raw plant based lifestyle (80/10/10), how did this help in losing weight?
Thank you! Yes, I follow a high carb raw vegan lifestyle. Meaning the majority of my calories come from carbohydrates (fruit) and a very small amount from fats. I eat only raw fruits and vegetables and two or three times a week I eat overt fats, meaning avocado, nuts, and seeds. I generally tend to eat as much fruit as I care for all day long. Usually, in the form of smoothies or mono meals (eating a large quantity of one kind of fruit) and then for dinner I have what I refer to as my “hour salad” because it quite literally takes me an hour to eat! This lifestyle enabled me to lose weight in many ways. First, there is no restriction! I don’t feel hungry and deprived like I have in the past while “dieting”. Secondly, I feel this is the natural way humans were designed to eat. By fueling my body properly it runs efficiently and all extra weight is eliminated naturally. Also, I’m eating very little fat. If you are not eating tons of fat you won’t be fat.
