In Episode 3 of the Going Super Podcast, we interview the Mirabai Sebastian, also known as The Healthy Pinay (thehealthypinay.blogspot.com). At the young age of 21, this college student taking up Fashion in the Philippines surprises us with her nutrient-rich, plant-based lifestyle.
Mirabai takes it up a notch higher by living out a fully raw, high carb, low fat vegan lifestyle, also known as 80/10/10 (a lifestyle that, when followed properly, has led to a number of positive health transformations all over the world). She gets her calories from raw plant-based foods, mostly from from fruit (about 80%), at least 10% of her calories from protein in the form of leafy vegetables, and no more than 10% of fats from healthy whole sources such as nuts and seeds.
To get a clearer picture: Mirabai can eat 35 (or more) star apples in a day, among others. 30 bananas a day is also not uncommon. She does eat a lot of fruit!
